NAICS Code

Make certain you have submitted you NAICS code as that is the method by which federal agencies will locate and identify SDV contractors for awards.

Certification is not required by Federal Law or Regulation. However, ASDV provides Certification as an assurance to the procurement community that they are reaching the intended population.

There are fellow SDVE in your state that are listed in government databases - but not certified. If you have an opportunity, contact them and remind them that;

If they have not certified their business as;

(a) Owned by a veteran with a U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs adjudicated service connected disability and;

(b) Own at least 51% of that business claiming eligibility and;

(c) Are active in the day-to-day management of that business.

The business may be charged with misrepresentation, a federal felony, when an award is made to the business.

AWARDS TO SDVE WILL BE CHALLENGED ON A CONTINUOUS BASIS TO ESTABLISH THAT THE SDVE BUSINESS IS LEGALLY ELIGIBLE.

For more information about Certification, or to check on the status of your application, please contact our Certification Administrator.
